My name is Robbie Kreger-Smith. I am 35 years old and have lived in Edmonton since 2014. I am the President of Red Shoe Society Northern Alberta, a former Provincial Director and Vice President of Communications for the Alberta Party. I do contract-based social media, communications, and strategic consulting.
I am passionate about volunteering and giving back to the community. I am a regular volunteer with Junior Achievement Northern Alberta and have also previously volunteered with Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern Alberta, United Way, and the Drayton Valley & District Chamber of Commerce (Secretary of the Board of Directors).
In 2015 I was recognized with the National Philanthropy Day award for Community Enrichment, and this year I was a nominee as one of Edmonton’s Top 40 Under 40.
I’ve spent 22 years working with McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada, starting as a part-time employee who progressed through the ranks to the position of Operations Supervisor overseeing 16 locations during my tenure. In 1998 and 2000 I was awarded Employee of the Year, in 2005 and 2008 I was a recipient of the McDonald’s Canada Outstanding Manager award. In 1997, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 restaurants I managed received Outstanding Restaurant Awards. I have graduated from McDonald’s corporate university (Hamburger University – yes it’s a thing) with diplomas in Business Leadership (2004) and Operations Consulting (2008).
I am married with two fur-babies. In my limited spare time, my passions include playing squash, tennis, camping, listening to music, cooking, camping, and travel.
